New construction underlayment per IRC R905 and ASTM D226 (felt) or ASTM D6757 (synthetic). Ice barrier per ASTM D1970 required at eaves in climate zones with average January temperature below 25°F. We install ice and water shield regardless. It's cheap insurance against ice dams and wind-driven rain. Drip edge per IRC R905.2.8.5 on eave and rake edges. Proper starter strip with factory sealant for wind resistance from day one.

Metal Roofing
We install 24-gauge and 26-gauge steel standing seam panels in Galvalume and pre-painted finishes. Concealed fastener clips allow the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes without stress on the fasteners. That's why standing seam doesn't leak. The clips float.

Flat Roofing
PVC membrane for Lucerne Valley restaurants, commercial kitchens, and facilities with rooftop grease exhaust or chemical exposure. PVC resists oils and animal fats that destroy TPO and EPDM membranes. We install IB Roof Systems and Duro-Last PVC with factory-fabricated accessories for watertight penetration details. Built-up roofing (BUR) uses 3 or 4 plies of fiberglass felt in hot asphalt with a gravel or cap sheet surface. Oldest proven flat roof system, with 30+ year service life in California. We still install BUR when the application calls for it.

We install Carlisle SynTec and Firestone TPO membrane systems in 60-mil and 80-mil thickness over minimum R-25 polyiso insulation (more in climate zones requiring it). Seams hot-air welded at 900°F+ and tested with a seam probe. Fully adhered systems for wind uplift zones per FM I-90 or I-120. Mechanically attached for re-roofs over existing insulation. NRCA member, trained per manufacturer specifications.

Gutter Installation
Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts are the premium install for historic and high-end homes in Lucerne Valley. We solder every joint on-site with 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper weathers to a green patina in California's climate over 5-7 years. For modern aluminum installs, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless stock in 25+ color options with Raytec hidden hangers rated to 25 lbs per linear foot of combined debris and ice load.

Skylight installation includes cutting the roof opening, framing a curb with doubled 2x lumber, installing the unit with factory sealant, and weaving the step flashing into the surrounding shingle courses.
